疫情之下，若有一叶之舟可以载我们于动荡中寻得内心的丰盈与安宁，那定是“读书”。外语学院学生第二党支部发挥学科优势，创新学习方式，把党史学习教育和英语专业学习相融合，推出了“红色荐读，‘英’颂经典”党日活动。要求支部学生党员以党小组的方式共读一本好书，并用英语分享阅读感悟，近日，第一期分享会在3203教室顺利举行，支部24名党员参加了此次活动。

《红星照耀中国》是第一部向世界人民介绍中国红军的著作。从书中，不仅能体会到中国红军坚持不懈、不畏牺牲的精神，还能全面了解老一辈革命党员的故事，与他们进行一场时空对话。
Red Star over China is the first work which introduces the history of Chinese Red Army soldiers to the world. When reading the book, I could not only feel the unremitting and unflinching spirit of Chinese Red Army soldiers, but also fully know the previous stories of the old generation of revolutionary heroes, communicating with them across space and time.

《红高粱家族》出版于1986年，是作家莫言以他的故乡山东高密东北乡为背景所创作的一部魔幻现实主义小说。小说以第一人称“我”落笔，通过“我的奶奶”戴凤莲和“我的爷爷”余占鳌之间的爱情主线，描绘了“余占鳌式”的土匪式英雄。他们没有受过专业训练却坚实地在保家卫国、抗击侵略者。《红高粱家族》给人带去一种坚强的意志和不屈的精神。《红高粱家族》不仅讲述了一个农民家庭的故事，关于山东农民的艰难、爱、恨和冒险，也歌颂了抗日战争的背景下中国人民在抗日战争中百折不挠的精神。
Red Sorghum, published in 1986, is a classic novel of Mo Yan, who won Novel Prize for Literature for his “hallucinatory realism” . The story of Red Sorghum is set in Mo’s hometown, Gaomi county, Shandong Province, narrated from the first person of view - “I”. Through telling the love story of “my” grandparents, the novel has created a bandit hero - Yu Zhanao. Although Yu and his followers are not well-trained soldiers, they had solid determination in defending the country, fighting against the invader. Red Sorghum is not only a story about hardships, love, hatred, and adventures of the peasants of Shandong, but also a story that praises the indomitable spirit of Chinese people during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
